Broker Check

A family firm, a personal experience

Our team at MPM Wealth Advisors has the kind of experience, knowledge and expertise that you’d expect to find at a bigger firm, but the highly personal approach we take with each client sets us apart. We’re committed to our craft, and passionate about helping you make the most of your hard-earned retirement.

The whole is more than the sum of its parts, and each member of our team is better when we all work together. Instead of working with a single advisor, you’ll work with a dedicated group at MPM, so that there’s always someone available to you who knows exactly who you are. You won’t be shuffled from advisor to advisor, or bumped to voicemail. Our clients can rely on our unique mix of dedication, expertise, knowledge and passion to plan, invest, and thrive.

Bryan Ohm

Co-Founder, Senior Advisor

Bryan has over 40 years of experience in financial services. His focus is delivering a holistic wealth management experience to a select group of high-net-worth individuals. In addition, Bryan has extensive expertise in advising economically independent women. Bryan attended the University of Toledo on a full football scholarship and earned his business degree there in 1979. He began his career in the brokerage industry in 1980 with Paine Webber (now UBS Financial Services). In 1987, Bryan served as Account Vice President with the former E. F. Hutton in Toledo, and in 1992 was named Consulting Group Associate. Happily, Bryan was able to recruit his daughter Chelsea Ohm Heintschel—now an MPM Managing Partner—into the business, having laid the foundation when she was in grade school.

An avid sports fan, Bryan enjoys boating on Lake Erie and is an active member of the University of Toledo President’s Club, and Varsity T Club.

Sean S. Shinaberry

CEO, Lead Advisor & Managing Partner

Sean has been serving his clients and community since 2003, specializing in wealth management. He embodies MPM Wealth Advisors' disciplined approach, helping our clients plan, invest, and thrive as they achieve their personal goals. Sean was mentored by our two founding principals, Bryan Ohm and Tom Damasco, who recognized his talents early on. (Bryan even knew Sean during one of his very first jobs as a babysitter for Bryan’s kids, including MPM Managing Partner Chelsea Ohm Heintschel).

When MPM adopted our team advisory approach, Sean was able to work closely with Bryan and Tom to serve MPM’s clients. Sean is driven to help families on their financial journey; he has a passion for developing and implementing plans to ensure our clients reach their financial goals.

Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife Jenna and their three wonderful kids, Laine, Andie, and Noah on their farm and with extended family at the lake.

George T. Damasco

Lead Advisor, Managing Partner

George joined MPM in 2008. He holds a BBA in Finance with a specialization in Financial Planning from Bowling Green State University. The son of an MPM co-founder G. Thomas Damasco, George now assists clients in the same process he grew up hearing all about at the family dinner table. And gets to work alongside long-time childhood friends and partners, Sean Shinaberry and Chelsea Heintschel.

A passionate outdoorsman, George is an alumnus of Toledo St. Francis, serving on the Annual Fund Campaign Board and assisting with alumni events. He is also a member of the Ft. Meigs Sertoma Club.

Chelsea Ohm Heintschel, CFP®

Lead Advisor, Managing Partner

Chelsea is a lead advisor and Certified Financial Planner™. She loves the feeling of telling clients they’ll be able to retire, then guiding them every step of the way.

While her dad (MPM co-founder) Bryan Ohm started recruiting Chelsea to the firm back in grade school, it wasn’t until 2015 she joined her father, long-time family friends the Damascos, and childhood babysitter Sean Shinaberry on the MPM leadership team. Prior to MPM, Chelsea graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and worked in consulting. Serendipitously, two of Chelsea’s larger consulting projects were with a major international financial services firm and a mutual fund management company, both of which happened to work with MPM. It was through those projects that Chelsea realized her interest and passion for financial advisory must run in her blood.

Chelsea lives and works in Chicago with her husband, son and daughter. They love park picnics, beach days, catching live music shows, and enjoying the many delicious restaurants around the city. When time allows, Chelsea and her husband like to explore the world. Her favorite adventure so far was a trip to South Africa where she and her husband swam with great white sharks and spent four days on safari on a private game reserve.

Ryan Stoller, CFP®

Associate Advisor

Ryan grew up in Van Wert, Ohio — the son of a third-generation poultry farmer — which probably tells you something about his work ethic before he ever says a word.

He played baseball at Lourdes University, then built a career path that's anything but straight-line: financial planning, then a detour into special education with the Perrysburg School District, then back to financial planning with his CFP® designation in hand. That combination of experiences — numbers and people, strategy and deep empathy — shapes everything about the way he works with clients.

Ryan is passionate about helping people use their wealth with intention. Not just accumulating it, but making sure their financial lives actually reflect what matters most to them. That's a natural fit for the evidence-based, client-first approach we practice at MPM.

He joined our team at the end of 2025, and he's already hitting the ground running.

Outside the office, Ryan is a proud new dad, a Buckeyes fan, and perpetually in search of a great cup of coffee. He and his family are committed members of Community House Church, and his faith informs the way he approaches both his work and his life — with intention, care, and genuine investment in the people in front of him.

Christine earned a BBA from Ohio University and MBA in Information Systems from the University of Toledo. She went on to work for a local Fortune 500 company for 15 years and then as an independent process consultant, educator, and local business owner.

In her spare time, Christine enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren. She loves reading and is an active member of The University of Toledo Women in Philanthropy.

Bob Avery

Compliance Officer

Bob earned his Bachelor of Science in Family Resource Management from the College of Human Ecology at The Ohio State University in 2003. A proud Buckeye fan, Bob enjoys cheering on his alma mater whenever they compete. Outside of work, he prioritizes time with his wife, Jamie, and their three daughters—Elizabeth, Liliana, and Alyssa. Together, they love making memories at Cedar Point and exploring the waters of Lake Erie, whether tubing, cruising, or relaxing near the shore, especially at Cedar Point Beach.

Wendy Upton

Operations

Wendy is a Toledo native with over two decades of administrative expertise. As our Operations specialist, she streamlines our processes and assists our Compliance team. She ensures that we follow our policies and procedures with accuracy and efficiency.

Wendy loves spending time with her husband and their two adult sons, especially when they watch sports together. She also has a passion for crafting and decorating. From balloon archways to beautiful centerpieces, Wendy adds a touch of creativity and flair to every event.
